Possible interest in Old Chang Kee

OLD Chang Kee Ltd on Thursday said a controlling shareholder and his associate have expressed interest to enter into a possible share transaction which may lead to an offer made for the food and beverage company by a third party.
"However, the company wishes to advise shareholders that no agreement has been reached between the parties, no firm intention to make an offer has been expressed by the third party, and the said transaction may or may not proceed," it said in a statement.
Latest available data on Bloomberg show that as at end-January this year, two-thirds of the company's shares are held by chairman and founder Keen Juan Han, 11.7 per cent by Goodview Properties Pte Ltd, and another 7.4 per cent by chief executive officer William Lim.
